    MaKayla Ray,

The four types of mining are.. 1) Subsurface mining- located below Earth’s surface. 2) Surface mining- located close to Earth’s surface. overlying rock material is stripped away to reveal the mineral deposits. 3) Placer mining-are mined by dredging. 4) Undersea mining- the ocean floor contains mineral resources Nodules are lumps of minerals on the ocean floor.

well really 1 is by hand
    2 is by machinery
    3 is by people
    4 is by erosion

4types of mining…Subsurface Mining…Surface Mining…Placer Mining…Undersea Mining!!!! 1.Subsurface Mining people that work underground to mine 2.Surface Mining people that mine above the earth’s surface 3.Placer Mining are when large buckets are attached to floating barges 4.Undersea Mining people that mine on the ocean floor

  5. JuliaElizabethh:) says:

Subsurface mining: These minerals are mined by miners who work underground to recover mineral deposits.
Surface mining: When mineral deposits are located close to Earth’s surface, they may be mined by using surface mining methods. In these methods, the overlying rock material is stripped away to reveal the mineral deposits.
Placer mining: Minerals in placer deposits are mined by dredg- ing. In placer mining, large buckets are attached to a floating barge. The buckets scoop up the sediments in front of the barge.
Undersea mining: The ocean floor also contains mineral resources. Nodules are lumps of minerals on the deep- ocean floor that contain iron, manganese, nickel, and that could become eco- nomically important if they could be recovered efficiently. However, because of their location, these deposits are very difficult to mine.

  10. Elizabeth West says:

Subsurface mining-many mineral deposits are located below Earth’s surface. These minerals are mined by miners who work underground to recover mineral deposits. Surface mining-In these methods, the overlying rock material is stripped away to reveal the mineral deposits.
Placer mining-In placer mining, large buckets are attached to a floating barge. The buckets scoop up the sediments in front of the barge. Dense minerals from placer deposits are separated from the surrounding sediment
Undersea mining- Mineral deposits on land can be mined less expensively than deposits on the deep-ocean floor can.

  11. Amber Laster says:

Subsurface Mining: Mining of the mineral deposits located below Earth’s surface.

Surface Mining: Mining where the overlying rock material is stripped away to reveal the mineral deposits. They are located close to Earth’s surface.

Placer Mining: Mining where buckets scoop up sediments in front of a barge. The dense minerals from placer deposits are separated from the surrounding sediment and the remaining sediments are released into the water.

Undersea Mining: Mining of minerals on the ocean floor

  14. William Fox says:

Subsurface mine is where they mine underground
Surface mining is where they mine above the ground
Placer mining is where they mine using dredging
Undersea mining is where they on the ocean floor
